I have always taken my acting and modelling as a hobby and thereby did not take advantage of movie and modelling offers as was concentrating on my studies and career in finance. I did undertake auditions however for some renowned Indian Politian & actor's search for a star and was one of two selected at the time but unfortunately he had got caught up with Politics and therefore postponed the movie of which I had no idea when. I would like to change my career and do what I have always loved and do best and any opportunity now would be amazing.
Experience
Participated as extra on episodes of Doctors, The Bill, promotional work at Clothes Show, UK and Ideal Home Show for hair products, Sony TV as contemporary/classical asian dancer, Asian brides documentary work, modelling for Sarees and Salwar and other such work to promote businesses; fashion shows, urban music video work, radio work on health issues for radio Excel; Finalist in Miss Bengali International 1994; some acting work as lead actress in Urdu film which discontinued due to lack of funds and visa problems.
I participated in screen acting course in year 2000 from which I received a certificate and showreel. I understand that it has passed its' shelf life but hopefully I have not and can prove to be experienced and successful in any assignments I undertake. I regret missing out on a chance to do a tamil feature length movie in 2003 to be broadcast on Channel 4 television and South India for which I was offered the lead role amongst other such acting and international modelling offers for advertisements. My commitments back then were my studies and career. I would now like to get back in business and show people what I can do.
